Event wristbands in Australia: tickets, VIP and same-day stock
An event wristband is a ticket you can see from a metre away. The right material stops people swapping entry, colour-codes doors and still looks like part of the show. The wrong one is a reusable souvenir that anyone can hand to the next person in the queue.
General admission
Plain Tyvek is the default Australian festival and club ticket: 100 per colour, tamper-evident adhesive, same-day express on eligible orders. Use one colour per day, age group or stage. Add black or full-colour print when sponsors or a date need to sit on the band.
Plastic clip is the upgrade when the site is wet, dusty or multi-day. The one-way clip survives a weekend better than paper-style Tyvek. Plain clip starts at 50 and can also leave the same day. Custom printed clip starts at 500 and takes 10–14 days.
VIP, artists and staff
Woven bands read as merch and still lock if you choose a metal clamp or barrel fastener. They are the usual VIP / artist laminate-on-the-wrist. Minimum is typically 100, with about 7–10 days production.
Staff and contractors often need a neck credential as well as a wrist ticket. In-stock Staff, Visitor, VIP and Security lanyards dispatch the same day from 10 units. Custom lanyards start at 50 and take 7–10 days.
Security rules that actually matter
Tyvek and plastic clip destroy on removal. Silicone and slap bands do not. If door staff are checking who paid, do not issue silicone at the gate - sell it at the merch stall.
Colour-code before you print. A door supervisor should know “Saturday GA” from “all-weekend VIP” without reading type in the dark.
- One-night club or concert: plain or printed Tyvek.
- Multi-day outdoor: plastic clip, or woven for VIP.
- Same-week reprint: plain Tyvek or plain clip only.
- Keepable add-on: silicone or slap, sold separately.
Lead times for Australian events
Cut-off for same-day dispatch is 3pm AEST on eligible plain Tyvek, plain clip and in-stock lanyards. Custom Tyvek ranges from same day to about 10 days by quantity. Build artwork approval into that window - we will not print until you sign the proof.

- Yes. Order plain Tyvek or clip per colour for each day, then print only the bands that need a logo. Same design across colours usually avoids extra setup fees.
- What if we need bands this week?
- Use plain Tyvek, plain plastic clip or in-stock lanyards. Custom silicone, woven and printed clip need more than a few days.
